Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get a sharp temporary shooting pain from my left temple up when I bend over. It does not last long, but it does happen everytime I bend over to pick something up. I had a CT brain (without contrast), and the findings were as follows: Parenchymal volume is within normal limits & No acute intracranial hemorrhage, mass effect, midline shift, or extra-axial fluid collection. Atherosclerotic calcification of bilateral cavernous carotid arteries, pituitary gland appears somewhat prominent for age. The visible paranasal sinuses & mastoid air cells are normally aerated . So, why do you think I get daily headaches , & those shooting pains on the left side of my head?
The symptoms are consistent with common causes like a migraine or a tension headache, as a first line management, you can try analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.

How Can sharp Shooting Temple Pain Be Treated?
Hello, The given CT report is perfectly normal. The symptoms are consistent with common causes like a migraine or a tension headache, as a first line management, you can try analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. We have to rule out other causes also. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
